Patrick Gonzales es un fotógrafo francés (nacido en 1965 en Migennes, vive en Dijon, Borgoña) que nos lleva a un mundo de fantasía donde la imaginación transforma nuestra vida cotidiana en un viaje de ensueño. Su estilo es un híbrido entre la pintura y la fotografía, consiguiendo una excelente expresión de fotografía artística. Durante su relación amorosa con el arte, se interesó por la pintura, pero en 1998 dio un giro hacia las técnicas de la fotografía digital. Su tema principal son los sueños y la infancia. Influenciado por el surrealismo, nos lleva a un universo digno de El Principito o de El viaje de Chihiro. Contemplar sus fotos nos da la oportunidad de viajar a lomos de un rinoceronte, de nadar con un pez gigantesco, de abordar a una mariposa inusual. Todo esto tiene lugar en un escenario imaginario, lleno de flores gigantescas cuyas sombras podía ocultar una paloma, donde una tortuga está volando en el cielo con la ayuda de un globo. La mayoría de sus fotos son de un blanco y negro que intensifica sus maravillosos “decorados”. Consigue recrear una esencia de los años 30 y 40 gracias al blanco y negro y a la vestimenta retro. Después entra la edición con los cielos nublados y una atmósfera de sueños.
