Cada mujer esconde un misterio, suspendido en un espacio vacío y la fotógrafa búlgara Katia Chausheva puede transmitirnos ese precioso misterio, que no es más que el encanto femenino. Nos invita a sumergirnos en la dimensión más profunda y más íntima de las mujeres, a través de tonos oscuros, opacos y de ensueño. Como si hubiera una especie de filtro entre nosotros y el alma de la materia, que nos obliga a tener una mejor visión. Sin embargo, sus fotos son originales también por su encuadre, perspectiva y composición, que se refleja igualmente, en los espacios oscuros y negativos, equilibrada el encanto y la plasticidad de la materia. Aún así, nada se revela, el misterio permanece intacto. En 2006 obtuvo el Gran Premio Lumix en Sofía. Su obra Impresiona sobre todo por la profundidad, la a veces inquietante oscuridad y la delicadeza de sus escenas. Su temática fundamental es la figura humana, sobre todo la femenina, en la que es casi una constante el sentimiento de soledad. En su técnica, sobresale el dominio de la luz, el color y el procesado de sus imágenes. Sus fotos son originales también por su encuadre, perspectiva y composición, en los espacios oscuros y negativos.
ENG: Every woman conceals a mystery, enveloped in a gray area, suspended in an empty space that mystifies the gaze and the ability to grasp the secret of unexpected beauty. The female charm depicted by Bulgarian photographer Katia Chausheva is indeed not in the mirage of physical attractiveness.
On the contrary, based in the city of Plovdiv and winner of the Lumix Grand Prix in Sofia dips her lens beyond the patina of standardized beauty. She invites us to immerge ourselves in the deepest and most intimate dimension of women, which often results in obscurity, which Katia interprets with great technical control of the entire photographic process.
A cloudy glass, a hazy veil, a furtive look from the keyhole, a hallucination. The portraits of Chausheva are characterized by dark, opaque, dream-like tones. As if there were a kind of dirty filter between us and the soul of the subject, forcing us to take a better look. But her photos are original also for their framing, perspective and composition, that is reflected just as much on the dark and negative spaces, balanced by the final output given by the charm and plasticity of the subject. Yet nothing is revealed, the mystery remains intact: the artist thus confers a sure emotion to her works.
