Las instalaciones y los trabajos presentados hasta la fecha por el dúo Nonotak (la ilustradora francesa Noemi Schipfer y el arquitecto y músico japonés Takami Nakamoto) les han situado a la vanguardia de la creación escénica y las instalaciones tecnológicas de la actualidad. Sus elementos principales de trabajo son básicamente dos: la luz y el sonido. En su nuevo y espectacular AV Show que presentarán en Sónar de Día, “Shiro”, disponen una estructura sobre el escenario que delimita y aporta volumen al espacio, en el que se proyectan líneas y figuras geométricas que distorsionan los perfiles de ambos creadores. Algunas de las proyecciones son tan densas que les hacen desaparecer de nuestra vista; otras en cambio son tan livianas que parece que estén en relieve.
Nonotak han maravillado a todo el mundo en los últimos años con obras que se han podido ver en festivales como Todays Art y centros de arte de referencia como la Tate Modern de Londres, entre muchos otros espacios. El dúo es el ejemplo por excelencia de los artistas digitales que trabajan en el centro de todas las disciplinas y formatos del medio: el directo, la instalación, el sonido y el audiovisual, siguiendo un camino abierto en su momento por Ryoji Ikeda y Carsten Nicolai. Schipfer y Nakamoto no son músicos que llevan visuales, ni tampoco creadores visuales que hacen música: sus propuestas tienen una dimensión total, de las que resulta casi imposible extraer ningún código por separado.

ENG: Nonotak, the duo formed by French illustrator Noemi Schipfer and Japanese architect and musician Takami Nakamoto, are currently at the forefront of today’s stage design and installation scene. There are two main elements in their work: light and sound. In their new and spectacular AV Show “Shiro”, which will be presented at Sónar by Day, they will design an onstage configuration that delineates and contributes to the volume of space, in which geometric lines and figures will be projected, distorting the profiles of both creators. Some of the projections are so dense they disappear from view; others so light that they appear to pop out.Nonotak have astonished everyone in recent years with their works appearing at festivals such as Todays Art, and key art centres including the Tate Modern in London, among many others. The duo is an example par excellence of digital artists working at the centre of the medium’s disciplines and formats: live shows, installations, sound and audiovisual, following in the path of artists like Ryoji Ikeda and Carsten Nicolai. Schipfer and Nakamoto are not visual musicians, nor are they visual artists making music: their proposals form a completely new dimension, which is almost impossible to break down into constituent parts.
