Hsin-Lei Chao, más conocida como RayRay (aunque también graba como Wifi Grapes), trabaja como DJ residente en un par de clubes importantes de Taipei (Taiwán). Ha competido en torneos de DJs en Asia y Canadá,y en 2013 consiguió el campeonato nacional de Red Bull Thre3style en Taiwán. Ha grabado con Skrillex y ha escrito canciones como «ghostproducer» para estrellas del pop de Taiwan, como Kimberley Chen o JPM, además de aportar un tema en la banda sonora del éxito de la gran pantalla «Tiny Times 2».
Se crió musicalmente con el hip-hop, de hecho, en la universidad fundó un club dedicado a este movimiento, y ahora graba sus propias producciones de baile, inspiradas en el grime y el trap, a partir de ritmos conmovedores y armonías jazzy, muy en la onda de sus héroes J Dilla y A Tribe Called Quest.

Meanwhile she teams with friends in the studio to conjure trippy hip-hop and future bass bangers with a Technicolor touch. She’s competed in DJ tournaments in Asia and Canada, having won the Red Bull Thre3style national championship in Taiwan in 2013. She’s recorded with Skrillex, ghostwritten pop songs for Taiwan’s pop stars Kimberley Chen and JPM, and contributed a song to the soundtrack for the hit 2013 Chinese film Tiny Times 2. Chao grew up on hip-hop, indeed, in college she founded a club dedicated to it, and now she’s infusing her own grime- and trap-inspired dance productions with soulful grooves and jazzy harmonics, à la her heroes J Dilla and A Tribe Called Quest.
