Este otoño en Londres será protagonizado casi de forma exclusiva por Björk. Por un lado la artista islandesa ha anunciado la exposición multimedia y de realidad virtual “Björk Digital”, que se celebrará en el Somerset House durante dos largos meses, entre el 1 de septiembre y el 23 de octubre. Presentará música del último disco de la compositora (“Vulnicura”), proyectará en dos pantallas el film “Black Lake” y una serie de vídeos de 360 grados en realidad virtual (“Mouthmantra”, engendrado de forma colaborativa con Jesse Kanda).

Aprovechando esta especial residencia Björk ha anunciado una especial actuación en uno de los recintos musicales más emblemáticos del Reino Unido: el Royal Albert Hall. Se celebrará el miércoles 21 de septiembre, y será la primera actuación como “headliner” que la artista confirma en Londres en tres largos años. Las entradas para este histórico concierto se pondrán a la venta vía Royalalberthall.com a partir de las 10:00 de este viernes 22 de julio.

BJÖRK ANNOUNCES LONDON VR EXHIBITION AND ROYAL ALBERT HALL SHOW
London’s Somerset House will host the European premiere of Björk Digital later this year, an “immersive” VR exhibition of digital and video works commissioned by the singer that coincides with a one-off show at the Royal Albert Hall. Running from September 1 to October 23, Björk Digital features a number of VR experiences based on tracks from her recent Vulnicura album, including ‘Black Lake’ and ‘Stonemilker’, both made with filmmaker Andrew Thomas Huang. The exhibition will also include “never-before-seen” work from Björk along with an interactive educational space showing off the apps and instruments made alongside 2011’s ‘Biophilia’. A retrospective of Björk music videos will also run as part of the exhibition. Iconic videos by Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, Nick Knight and Stephane Sedanaoui will feature. Björk will also perform a one-off show at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
