Toni y Suso llevan muchos años buscando y seleccionando las mejores marcas para sus tiendas Addict y La Principal. Asiduos a las ferias internacionales de moda, en París conocen a Alexandre Lizarbe, un francés con una gran trayectoria en marcas internacionales, y en diciembre del 2014 deciden crear juntos el proyecto MEWS. Su objetivo es ofrecer productos relacionados con el estilo de vida mediterráneo: vestuario minimalista compuesto por piezas prácticas y estéticas cuyo corte debe ser impecable.
Proponen una colección de prendas “casuals” como camisas, camisetas, chinos, sudaderas, chaquetas,…donde el corte y la calidad del producto son su principal reto. La mayoría de su producción se fabrica en Portugal, las camisas en Toledo y las prendas de cuero, ante y la marroquinería en Mallorca. ¿Dónde puedes comprar MEWS? En Addict, una tienda perdida entre los callejones del casco antiguo de Palma y el lugar donde empezó todo. ENG: Since many years Toni and Suso are focussed on selecting right products and unearth nice brands for their stores called Addict and La Principal which are pioneer in the menswear sector in Palma de Mallorca. The Mallorcan team on this day joins forces with its French friend, Alexandre met in Paris in an international fashion show, who has been working in some prestigious and famous brands. All passioned by fashion – and lover of the island – they create together; MEWS.
MEWS, it is basically the proposal of presenting products which correspond to the insular lifestyle of their customers, that means a minimalist and comfy wardrobe included by few practical and esthetical pieces with a perfect cutting. They offer for the first time a large collection of casual and essential pieces: shirts, tees, chinos, cardigans, jackets, …. tinted by a colorful touch and then characterize their DNA. The cutting of the product is their main rule. A major part of the products are made in Portugal and the materials selected with care. Shirts are produced in Spain in a traditional sewing shop in the region of Toledo, while all the leather accessories (belts, card holders, wallets,…) are handcrafted by local Mallorcan workmen.
Why MEWS ? Because the old town of Palma is full of typical tiny streets which in one of them you could find the first Addict store, which has been the source of the all projects.
