Un set especial de siete horas. Ni más ni menos. Eso es lo que ofrecerá Garnier este año en Sónar. Una sesión muy especial, narrativa, inédita, que le permitirá explicar una historia a través de la música y desarrollar un relato distinto y a contracorriente en el contexto de urgencia en el que nos vemos abocados habitualmente. Esta nueva participación de Garnier en Sónar de Noche supone un capítulo más de la relación del dj francés con el festival; él mismo sugirió la idea, eligiendo Sónar como el escenario idóneo para poder explayarse y conducir al público a través de su vasto conocimiento musical.

Unido al festival desde la primera edición en 1994, Garnier ha jugado un papel crucial en la expansión y reconocimiento de la electrónica como lenguaje popular de nuestro tiempo. Admirado por todo el mundo, siempre ambicioso y en permanente movimiento, el dj y productor francés sigue regularmente publicando material de primer nivel, como esos cinco EPs publicados en cinco sello distintos durante 2014 y 2015. A pesar de su larga trayectoria (el año pasado se cumplieron 25 años desde que diera sus primeros pasos como dj) no ha perdido ni un ápice de su amor por la música y la pasión con la que vive su profesión. Recientemente ha reactivado el sello F Communications, donde ha sacado el extenso recopilatorio “La Home Box”. Este año, la noche del sábado, el nuevo SonarCar es todo suyo.

A regular fixture at the festival since the very first Sónar in 1994, Garnier has played a crucial role in the development and recognition of electronic music as the popular sound of our times. Admired worldwide, always ambitious and in a permanent state of flux, the French dj and producer continues to regularly release first rate material including five EPs on five different labels during 2014 and 2015. Despite his long career (last year he celebrated his 25th anniversary as a dj) he has never once lost his total and unrelenting love for music or passion for his profession. He recently revived the F Communications label, on which he released the extensive compilation «The Home Box». This year, Saturday night at Sónar, the revamped SonarCar stage is all his.
